Jon McCracken kept Dundee in front with sharp stops either side of the interval, denying Killian Phillips before the break and then Mikael Mandron and Jayden Richardson after the restart, before an injury forced him off (66.). Substitute Kieran O'Hara preserved the lead with late saves, including a low stop from Richardson in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time.

After the change in goal, Dundee still carried a threat. Cameron Congreve's deliveries fashioned chances, with Luke Graham heading wide from a corner and Ashley Hay drawing a save late on.

Dundee posted 10 attempts with five on target and finished with 39.5% possession. St Mirren registered 11 attempts, six on target, and saw more of the ball at 60.5%.

Next, Dundee host Livingston. St Mirren host Kilmarnock.
