An insight into the extent of the predicted ban facing Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé for his red card on Sunday has been forthcoming online.

The name of frontman Mbappé has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines across Spain this evening.

This comes after the Frenchman was responsible for a moment of madness, during Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés.

Late in the first-half at Mendizorroza, Mbappé entered himself into a challenge in the middle of the park.

Completely missing the ball, however, the 26-year-old only succeeded in directing his studs into the leg of Antonio Blanco, making for a frankly horrendous tackle.

Following a VAR review, Mbappé was in turn shown a deserved red card. As much means that the attacker is facing up to an incoming suspension on the domestic front.

Just how many games, though, is Mbappé likely to miss?

An insight into as much has this evening been provided by way of Diario AS, who point towards the former Paris Saint-Germain standout as being likely to be ruled out of Real Madrid’s next two fixtures:

‘The question now is how many games he’ll get: if it’s more than three, he won’t play in the Copa del Rey final. But there are many nuances involved here. And everything points to it being just two.’

Such a sanction would see Mbappé miss upcoming La Liga games against both Athletic Club, and Getafe.
