What time is the Copa Libertadores draw and how to watch it live

Follow the group stage draw of the Copa Libertadores 2026, where Boca’s rivals will be determined. The draw will take place tonight at the headquarters of the South American Football Confederation, located in Luque, Paraguay.

The draw methodology

The ball extraction process is designed to be sequential and orderly:

Pot 1: The seeded teams will be drawn to occupy the first position in Groups B to H (remembering that Flamengo is already A1).
Pot 2: Following the order of appearance, the second position in each group will be filled, from Group A to H.
Pot 3: In the same way, teams will be drawn to fill the third slot in all groups.
Pot 4: Finally, the last members of each group will be determined.

A fundamental rule: CONMEBOL’s regulations clearly state that there cannot be two teams from the same country in the same group. If the draw results in this scenario, the drawn team will automatically move to the next available group and a new ball will be drawn.

Exception: The only way two teams from the same country can share a group is if one of them comes from Phase 3 of the competition.
