West Ham have been handed yet another injury blow with Lucas Paqueta sustaining a knee injury.
The Brazil international is understood to have rolled his ankle in training during a challenge for the ball with Aaron Wan-Bissaka – an accident that is set to rule the former Lyon player out for 3-4 weeks.
It’s the latest knock for the club in what has been a disastrous season, nowhere near the levels for what was hoped back in August – following a huge summer spend to help push again for European football.
Instead, West Ham are a club looking set for a battle to remain in the Premier League – as Paqueta is ruled out for a trip to title chasing Arsenal at the weekend.
Although there will be hopes within the club that Paqueta can recover sooner than anticipated – at this stage its likely to be around a month until we see him back in action, in another cruel blow to Graham Potter.
