Multiple sources claim Matteo Tognozzi is ready to return to Juventus, as Cristiano Giuntoli is set to leave; so, who is the current Granada executive, and what has he already achieved in Turin?
Juventus are set to restructure the club for the 2025-26 season, starting with their control room.
Cristiano Giuntoli is set to leave the club despite a contract expiring in 2028, with club owner John Elkann hiring Damien Comolli as Juventus’ new General Manager.

Giorgio Chiellini will be promoted and will likely have a seat on the club’s board, while Matteo Tognozzi, the current Granata sporting director, is expected to return to Turin.
But who is the 38-year-old and what has he achieved at Juventus? Let’s take a look.
As reported by Ilbianconero.com, Tognozzi left Juventus in 2023 to take on a new role at Granada, where he’s been serving as a sporting director over the last two years.
Born in 1987, Tognozzi began his Juventus career as a scout for the youth teams, particularly the Primavera and NextGen teams, reporting to former Juventus Chief Football Officer Fabio Paratici.

With the appointment of Federico Cherubini, Tognozzi was promoted to Juventus’ Chief Scout, becoming a key figure in the development of the NextGen squad, for which he signed talents Dean Huijsen, Matias Soulé, and Kenan Yildiz, who is now a key player on Juventus’ first team.
Tognozzi also secured the services of Samuel Iling-Junior, Enzo Barrenechea and Radu Dragusin for Juventus.
According to Ilbianconero, Tognozzi already worked behind the scenes for deals involving first-team players such as Dusan Vlahovic and Timothy Weah.
