Stuttgart’s resurgence to a Champions League place has featured Mittelstädt, number seven, with 25 appearances this season.

Yann Bisseck has just one Germany cap despite being regarded as a major defensive prospect abroad. Inter’s 2-5 loss to Bodo/Glimt, including conceding two at home, may linger, yet the Serie A leaders have shipped only 24 goals and Bisseck has made 19 league outings, which may still be a risk.
