Paris Saint-Germain will need to be attentive when Eintracht Frankfurt sell Hugo Ekitike because the capital club will get a sum from the Frenchman’s sale in the future.

CaughtOffside previously reported, citing sources, that Newcastle are already considering Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak. The club had shown interest in Ekitike during his time at Paris Saint-Germain.

Ligue 1 side PSG also holds a 20 percent sell-on clause in any future deal, meaning they would benefit from his potential transfer. While the Magpies have an eye on the talented youngster, there’s another Premier League club keen on the player.

Arsenal are also reportedly keeping an eye on the French forward, according to the latest update from Sky Sports Switzerland.

The Gunners are said to be “closely following” the situation of 22-year-old Hugo Ekitike, who has scored 18 goals and provided six assists since making his move from PSG last summer.

As for the cost, the report states that Frankfurt would demand at least €80 million (£67.5 million). Arsenal’s interest in Ekitike dates back before the club appointed Andrea Berta as their new sporting director.

Berta will play a key role in Arsenal’s recruitment plans, and according to the report, his opinion could determine whether the club pursues Ekitike. If Berta backs the French striker, Arsenal will push forward. If he’s not convinced, they will shift their focus to other options.
