Grêmio are involved in a case at CAS, of FIFA, over the signing of midfielder Camilo, after Ahmat Grozny alleged unilateral breach of contract and accused the club of poaching. The case remains ongoing with no ruling.

The club said in a statement last week that Camilo was signed in February 2025 as a free agent, relying on FIFA guidance linked to the war between Russia and Ukraine. It added that no payment or negotiation was made with his previous club.

After the deal was concluded, Ahmat Grozny took the matter to FIFA seeking compensation, alleging unilateral termination by the player and inducement by Grêmio. The action has not yet been judged and no responsibility has been assigned.

Grêmio’s legal team has submitted its arguments to FIFA and expresses full confidence they will be accepted.

Since arriving, he has made 26 appearances without securing a regular starting place. He is among those who could depart in the next window.
