David Moller Wolfe was substituted only 12 minutes after coming on for Norway against Switzerland, the Wolves full back suffering a cut under his eye that needed four stitches.

He had started the 2-1 defeat to the Netherlands, then began on the bench on Tuesday night. ExpressAndStar.com reports that he was among the Wolves players away on international duty.

He entered in the 63rd minute for Man City striker Erling Haaland, but was then withdrawn for ex-Albion defender Torbjorn Heggem after just 12 minutes.

The change followed an elbow that left him in clear pain and bleeding. Team-mates quickly surrounded him, and Benfica striker Andreas Schjelderup signalled to the bench for treatment.

After the match, Wolfe said he panicked when he saw their reaction, adding that Schjelderup shouted for Ola, the team doctor.
