Wiltord, Gourcuff among Rennes greats for 125th anniversary against Metz

Roazhon Park welcomed a host of Rennes alumni on Sunday as the club marked its 125th anniversary around the home meeting with Metz.
Sylvain Wiltord, Yoann Gourcuff, Bernard Lama, Shabani Nonda and Jocelyn Angloma were among those present.
Others included Daniel Rodighiero, Pierrick Hiard, Patrick and Laurent Delamontagne, Pierre-Yves André, Olivier Monterrubio, John Utaka, Stéphane Mbia, Mario Melchiot, Julien Escudé and Rod Fanni.
Many passed through a fan zone before being introduced inside the stadium an hour before kick-off. Club owner François-Henri Pinault attended as planned.
According to L'Équipe, some Middle East based players, including Benjamin Bourigeaud in the Qatari top flight and Édouard Mendy in the Saudi top flight, were unable to travel. Martin Terrier, injured on Saturday with Bayer Leverkusen, also withdrew.
A huge tifo spanning three stands was unveiled before kick-off.
