Wolfsburg and Roma reach full agreement for transfer of Konstantinos Koulierakis

Konstantinos Koulierakis is set to join Serie A club AS Roma from VfL Wolfsburg after the two clubs reached full agreement for €17 million plus bonuses. Sky Sports understand the 2. Bundesliga side also secured a 20% share from future resale.

The Greek defender has played 59 Bundesliga games since joining Wolfsburg from PAOK for a reported €11.75 million transfer fee a couple of seasons ago. The medical check will be completed on Saturday before he signs a deal until 2031, according to Sky Sports.

Koulierakis has a contract until 2029 at Wolfsburg, but they are forced to sell several players after the club’s first-ever relegation from Bundesliga. The club has spent back the €22 million they received from outgoing transfers so far as they prepare for an immediate promotion back to Bundesliga.
