Wolfsburg in talks to sign West Ham target Charlie Cresswell | OneFootball

Since joining Toulouse FC, Charlie Cresswell (23) has been frequently linked with a move back to England. However, as per a report from Florian Plettenberg, the Leeds United academy graduate is now receiving attention from a Bundesliga club.

Cresswell has been a consistent performer in a Toulouse side that this season sit comfortably mid-table. The centre-back has attracted interest from Premier League strugglers West Ham United, but it is German side Wolfsburg who are in talks to sign the Englishman, Plettenberg understands.

Cresswell’s contract with Le TéFéCé runs until the summer of 2028, however, Wolfsburg are now engaged in concrete attempts to get a deal done this month. 

The centre-back joined the Ligue 1 club back in 2024 and quickly became indispensable to manager Carles Martínez Novell. This season, he has played in all 17 of Toulouse’s Ligue 1 encounters, as well as in their Coupe de France win over SCO Angers over the weekend.
