Wolves ended their season with a 1-1 draw at fellow relegated Burnley.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Joao Gomes was left out of the squad ahead of an expected summer move.

Academy product Jerome Abbey made history for Wolves, becoming the club’s youngest Premier League player at 16 years, eight months and eight days.

Wolves started brightly as Ladislav Krejci’s header struck Florentino on the arm, the referee awarded a penalty and Adam Armstrong, who Wolves hope will be scoring regularly in the Championship next season, converted.

A win would have lifted Wolves off the bottom, but they finish the campaign in last place, a position they have occupied since late August.

The draw also confirmed an unwanted feat, as Wolves completed the Premier League season without an away league win. Across Europe’s top five leagues, only Pisa in Serie A matched that record.
