Wolves will visit Heerenveen and Maidenhead United as pre-season plans take shape.

Rob Edwards’ side will face the Eredivisie club in the Netherlands on Saturday 1 August at the Abe Lenstra Stadion, 2pm UK time and 3pm locally. The club said in a statement that further talks with Heerenveen and local stakeholders about away support, including travel and allocation, will be communicated once agreed.

Their first official friendly is at Maidenhead’s York Road on Tuesday 21 July, kick-off 7.30pm. The fixture was arranged as part of the 2024 deal that took Max Kilman to West Ham for £40million and has been two years in the making.

Earlier in the summer the squad will head to Portugal for a warm-weather training camp, with no public fixtures scheduled during the trip.

Wolves are due to add further friendlies before the campaign begins with a Carabao Cup first round tie on the weekend of August 7.
