Wolves Women add Mel Filis and Hollie Olding in double signing | OneFootball

Wolves Women have added midfielders Mel Filis and Hollie Olding as their third and fourth summer signings.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the double move forms part of a rebuild for their first professional season in WSL2.

Filis joins after leaving Italian side Sassuolo. The midfielder has top-level experience in England with four senior appearances for Arsenal.

She has made more than 80 appearances across spells with London Bees, West Ham and Charlton, and earned a first senior Republic of Ireland call-up in February 2025.

Manager Dan McNamara said he first noticed Filis when Wolves faced West Ham in the FA Cup in January 2023, and felt her potential was clear. Three years on, he described the decision to sign her as straightforward, citing experience in England and abroad and technical quality on and off the pitch.

Wolves have also signed former Nottingham Forest midfielder Olding. McNamara said his side had come up against her many times and had monitored her for a long period, so adding her for their first season at this level is exciting.

He added that Olding has already made the step from tier three to the professional league with Nottingham Forest, so can help team-mates making the transition while contributing significant technical ability.
