Ultimately, the hosts found the clinicality they needed to come away with all three points, while Iceland have been eliminated after two losses.

The result also confirms Norway's place in the knockouts.

GOAL FOR SWITZERLAND

Substitute Alayah Pilgrim's long-range strike takes a deflection off an Iceland defender and finds the bottom corner, giving Switzerland a 2-0 lead.

Guðrún Arnardóttir's last-ditch slide tackle prevents Switzerland from doubling their lead.

CHANCE FOR SWITZERLAND

Leila Wandeler's long-range strike comes off the top of the crossbar.

GOAL FOR SWITZERLAND

Switzerland finally break the deadlock as Géraldine Reuteler's composed finish finds the bottom-left corner, assisted by Sydney Schertenleib.

CHANCE FOR SWITZERLAND

Iman Beney's lofty header is tipped over the crossbar by Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdóttir.

There's still just one shot on target between the two teams.

Both sides need to create better chances in order to collect all three points.

CHANCE FOR ICELAND

Karólína Lea Vilhjálmsdóttir fires a free-kick off the top of the crossbar.

The second 45 minutes are underway!

HALF-TIME: SWITZERLAND 0-0 ICELAND

After a very stop-start first-half, both sides go in scoreless at the break.

Switzerland thought they had opened the scoring with a headed own-goal from Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir but it was ruled out following a VAR review which deemed there was a foul on the corner.

Very little action in the opening 25 minutes as both teams have approached this must-win game with caution.

CHANCE FOR ICELAND

Ingibjörg Sigurðardóttir hits the crossbar with a half-volley less than a minute into the match.

KICK-OFF

We're up and running as Iceland get the game underway.

This is how the teams will lineup with both sides looking to look to pick up their first points of the tournament.

Swiss fans have gathered in numbers ahead of the host nation's second match of the tournament.

UP NEXT: SWITZERLAND VS ICELAND

Hansen's performance earned her the player of the match award.

FULL TIME! NORWAY ARE THROUGH!

Incredible. Despite taking an early lead, Norway were on the backfoot for large parts of that game.

However, when you have players like Caroline Graham Hansen, you always have a chance, and so it proved.

It's desperately unlucky for Finland, but the Norwegians are the winners and can now make plans for the quarter-finals.

We're into four minutes of added time now. Norway are so close, and Finland might not believe how this has turned out.

Two minutes plus added time to go.

As stands, Norway are in the quarter-finals!

GOAL! NORWAY HAVE STOLEN IT!

What were we saying!!!

To the surprise of no one, it is Hansen who has done it for Norway.

The Barcelona superstar jinks her way past a few defenders before seeing her cross float into the top corner off the bar.

Amazing.

BIG SAVE!

Hansen, again, is the provider, and her cross is met with an overhead kick from Guro Reiten.

The Chelsea star's brilliant effort is equaled by a brilliant save from Anna Koivunen.

Norway could still win this.

Caroline Graham Hansen has been the standout for Norway, and she almost gets away from Joanna Tynnila on the edge of the box, but the Finnish defender is up to the task.

It's been a mightily impressive showing from Finland against a star-studded Norway side, who look anything but right now.

Can they find a winner?

Norway haven't had an effort on goal since the 37th minute.

They'd take a point right now, needless to say.

The Finns have been the better side here, but Norway are proving a tough nut to crack.

OFF THE POST!

Oh so close for Finland. Eveliina Summanen finds some space on the edge of the box, and sidefoots a brilliant shot that looked to be heading into the net before bouncing off the post.

A lucky escape for Norway with 25 minutes to go here.

Norway have tightened up a bit to start this half - they were far too easy to play through in the first half.

Back under way in Sion - big second half to come!

With a goal like that, it's no wonder she's smiling.

HALF TIME!

What a 45! Norway took the lead inside three minutes but are doing well to be level at the break.

Finland have been the better side, but it's all to play for.

This game had serious potential, and it's more than lived up to it.

GOAL! FINLAND ARE LEVEL!

And you can't say it isn't mostly deserved!

Oona Sevenius is the scorer, and what a fine goal it is. She goes through on goal and finishes into the top corner in some style.

OFF THE WOODWORK!

And just like that, Norway almost get a second against the run of play.

Ingrid Engen gets her head to the ball from a corner but sees it bounce off the bar and away.

Next goal is big here.

The Finns have had 65% possession, which tells you everything about the flow of the game since that early goal.

Can they make it count?

Finland have got back into this, and are starting to really trouble Norway.

Captain Linda Sällström has had their best chance, being denied brilliantly by Cecile Fiskerstrand when in on goal.

A good response to a horror start.

That goal Norway have scored their second-fastest ever at the European Championship finals, after a first-minute opener against Sweden in 1989.

129 seconds on the clock when they struck tonight. Not bad.

GOAL! WHAT A START FOR NORWAY!

Just three minutes gone, and Norway are in the lead!

It's an own goal from Eva Nyström, who got her feet mixed up trying to clear the ball from a dangerous from Caroline Graham Hansen.

Big goal.

KICK OFF!

And we're underway at the Stade de Tourbillon in Sion.

Hosts Switzerland take on Iceland with both countries needing a positive result to keep alive their hopes of qualification to the knockout phase.

First, though, Norway and Finland meet in a game that could see one side book their spot in the the last eight.
