Tottenham took the three points against Aston Villa in this Group E clash in the Women's League Cup.

Villa came off the back of a successful weekend in the WSL last time out, but their struggles continued after having held Tottenham goalless in the first hour.

A moment of sheer magic broke the deadlock as midfielder Eveliina Summanen let fly from just past the centre circle and saw her audacious shot sail into the back of the net.

The win sees Spurs pull three points clear in the table.

Sunday's only WSL fixture is the rearranged clash between Chelsea and Manchester United, as new Blues boss Sonia Bompastor looks to make it 12 wins from her opening 12 games in charge of the club.
