France are at full strength for World Cup 2026, with Champions League finalists reporting to Clairefontaine three days after the final.

According to Le Progres, the six players involved in Saturday’s showpiece, won by PSG against Arsenal in Budapest for a second successive European crown, checked in on Tuesday morning, taking the squad to 26. The five Parisians, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, Lucas Hernandez and Warren Zaïre-Emery, joined Arsenal defender William Saliba and the 20 already in camp.

Reports on Monday suggested a back issue for Saliba. Didier Deschamps said the centre-back is fine and rejected those claims as not factual, adding he did not know the source and did not wish to.

Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte were due at Clairefontaine on Tuesday afternoon to greet Kylian Mbappé and his team-mates before the 10 June departure to the United States. The Elysée said the President would speak with players and staff to offer his and the country’s support.

Macron will also meet the women’s national side, who are preparing at Clairefontaine for two decisive qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.

France face Côte d’Ivoire in Nantes on Thursday, then Northern Ireland in Lille on eight June, before flying on 10 June to their Boston base. Drawn in Group I, they open on 16 June against Senegal at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, then play Iraq on 22 June in Philadelphia and Norway on 26 June in Foxborough.
