After Gabon-Nigeria, the second semi-final of the African playoff for the 2026 World Cup will see Cameroon face off against DR Congo. The showdown is set for Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 7pm GMT at the El Barid Stadium in Rabat.
Cameroon disappointed during the group stage, finishing second in Group D behind Cape Verde after squandering several points, notably a surprising draw with Eswatini (0-0).
On the other hand, DR Congo delivered a strong qualifying campaign but couldn't get the better of Senegal, who topped Group B two points ahead of the Leopards.
Marc Brys will have to do without several players, including Danny Namaso, Eric-Maxime Choupo-Moting and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa. André Onana remains a doubt.
On the opposite side, Sebastien Desabre must cope without Newcastle striker Yoane Wissa, sidelined by a long-term injury.
DR Congo's likely starting XI: Mpasi; Masuaku, Mbemba, Tuanzebe, Wan-Bissaka; Mbuku, Moutoussamy, Mukau, Kayembe; Essende, Bakambu.
Cameroon's likely starting XI: A Onana; Tchatchoua, Castelletto, Nouhou, Nagida; Avom, Baleba, Anguissa; Nkoudou, Eyong, Mbeumo.
