FLW's West Brom fan pundit has given his verdict on transfer links to a return for Will Lankshear.

West Brom have been linked with a loan move to bring Spurs striker Will Lankshear back to the club for next season.
According to Football London, the Baggies are keen to bring the forward back to the Hawthorns after he spent the second half of last season with the team.
Ryan Mason is now in charge of Albion, and will know the forward from his time as a coach at Spurs.
The 20-year-old featured 11 times in the Championship for West Brom last season, including only four starts, but could be convinced to return due to his relationship with the club’s new manager.
When asked about a potential return for Lankshear, FLW’s West Brom fan pundit, Callum Burgess, claimed his first stint was harmed by the signing of Adam Armstrong.
He believes under Mason that Albion could be a good place for him to earn the game time his development needs, especially with Josh Maja and Daryl Dike entering the final year of their current contracts.
“I think Lankshear was probably a victim of the Adam Armstrong deal, where obviously Mowbray would’ve been keen to reunite with him, and his goal record in particular would’ve been hoped that he could hit the heights that he’s been able to do so before,” Burgess told Football League World.
“But obviously Lankshear was signed in mind without that factor of Armstrong coming in.
“So he’d have probably played more games had we not signed Armstrong, which is unfortunate as in the limited games that he did have, he did show he was willing to run, and was willing to put himself about.
“I think a full season at Albion would be beneficial for him, especially when we’ve got Maja and Dike in the last year of their contracts as well.
“It might be a scenario if one of them goes if Lankshear has a full season, come in and out of the team for the first time in senior football. It would be good for his development and good for the club as well.
“I definitely think he’s capable at Championship level. If he can add goals to his game like he was doing at youth level he’ll definitely be a capable striker for us.”
West Brom will get their campaign underway on 9 August at home to Blackburn Rovers.
While Lankshear’s first stint at West Brom likely didn’t go how he would’ve hoped, there is a chance a return might be the best move for him.
The appointment of Mason will give him a fresh face in the dugout that he knows well from their time at Spurs.
He also already knows the club, so it shouldn’t take too much time to settle into the new season, and he can hit the ground running as a result.
With Armstrong now also back at Southampton, there shouldn’t be so many fears about him being too far down the pecking order, as he could be set for an even bigger Baggies role next season.
