Wrexham AFC look set for a big summer transfer window of spending as they look to continue their world-famous rise through English football next season in the Championship.

The Red Dragons enjoyed their third-straight promotion this past season, continuing their remarkable rise from National League football all the way to England's second tier in just three years.

In every sense of the word, their journey truly has been Hollywood-esque, and recent reports suggest that the club are ready to splash the cash once again in order to not just survive in the Championship next term, but to thrive.

talkSPORT have recently revealed that Wrexham are already in discussions with Fulham hero Tom Cairney over a potential £50,000-a-week deal to swap Craven Cottage for the Racecourse Ground.

"Definitely" - Wrexham told to sign Liverpool starlet Jayden Danns this summer

We asked our Wrexham fan pundit, Liam Grice: 'What is one realistic signing you'd love your club to make this summer and why?'

Grice said: "One realistic signing I'd love Wrexham to make this summer would probably be, maybe not a permanent one, but a loan signing: Jayden Danns.

"He has struggled a little bit with injuries in his loan with Sunderland this season, but there's a proven goalscorer there. We've seen him do it for Liverpool, and I definitely think he's got the ability to perform at Championship level.

"Definitely at the level we need coming into it. I think we need to start utilising these local bigger teams that we've got around us: Liverpool, Everton, Manchester United and Manchester City are all quite close to us.

"We can get some young, up-and-coming talents from on loan, which helps us in the short-term whilst we're trying to build ourselves in the Championship.

"It also helps their development long-term. So, I'd love to see Jayden Danns come on loan to Wrexham."

Jayden Danns could be highly shrewd signing for Wrexham if he can stay fit

Liverpool are a club renowned in the game for many different reasons, one of which being their ability to produce top-class young talent.

19-year-old Danns could be one of their next big homegrown stars off their Kirkby production line.

The England youth international truly announced himself to the Anfield faithful in Round Five of the FA Cup in 2023/24, when the young centre-forward came off the bench with just under 30 minutes to play before scoring his first two goals as a professional to help the Reds defeat Southampton 3-0.

Since then, he's made a handful of appearances for the Premier League champions over the last two seasons, before being sent out on loan to Championship side Sunderland in this past season's winter transfer window.

However, Danns would fail to kick a ball for the Black Cats in the second half of the campaign, as he was revealed to be suffering from a troublesome back problem that was discovered during his medical with the club.

But, given his track record for goals at both academy and senior level during his time with Liverpool so far, all signs point towards him being a highly prolific goalscorer of the future.

As such, should Wrexham sign him, and Danns be given a clean bill of health and is able to stay fit over the course of a Championship campaign, he could provide that injection of youth and star quality to Phil Parkinson's attack, whilst providing excellent competition for Sam Smith in the process.
