Wrexham are among the clubs eyeing a possible deal for Andy Robertson this summer
Wrexham moved one step closer to securing a play-off place in the Championship this season with a 2-0 win over local rivals Swansea City.
A first half strike from Nathan Broadhead, along with a late own goal from Liam Cullen, secured an important three points for Phil Parkinson’s side.
The Red Dragons got back to winning ways after a 2-1 loss to Hull City midweek, with the team now earning victory in four of their last five league fixtures.
The club have temporarily opened the gap to the chasing pack to six points, but they will now have to wait for the rest of the weekend’s action to see if any of their rivals can keep their pace.
Wrexham are seeking a sensational fourth promotion in a row, having come straight from the National League to the Championship in consecutive campaigns.
And the Welsh outfit are already being linked with potential signings, should they secure a place in the Premier League for next season, including the likes of Harry Wilson and Andy Robertson.

Robertson will be out of contract at Liverpool in the summer as things stand, which has led to a lot of speculation over his future.
According to Football Insider, there are a number of clubs eyeing his signature at the end of the campaign, including Celtic.
However, it is also understood that the Reds are willing to offer the full-back a new deal in order to convince him to stay at the club.
It is expected that any decision on his future will wait until the end of the campaign, which will give Wrexham the chance to win promotion before potentially joining the race to sign the 32-year-old.
It’s been claimed that Robertson is on the shortlist of possible signings if they are promoted.
The Scotland international wages have also been cited as a major determining factor in the next step in his career, with it believed that a move for him will not be cheap despite the fact he is set to become a free agent.
Wrexham are currently sixth in the Championship table after their 2-0 win against fellow Welsh side Swansea on Friday night.
Parkinson’s side will return to action midweek with a trip to face Watford on 17 March in a 7.45pm kick-off.

While staying at Liverpool may seem the most obvious choice for Robertson, he has fallen down the pecking order in Arne Slot’s side and he may want more playing time elsewhere.
That he is willing to wait until the summer to make a decision does suggest that he is open to a move, and the wait could help Wrexham if they can gain promotion.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with his signature, but the London outfit’s own league status is currently up in the air, and it could also change matters if they are relegated.
His expensive wages could prove an issue for the Red Dragons, but the club have shown a willingness to invest in the team during this rise up the pyramid, so perhaps it’s something they can resolve.
