The 19-year old Japanese international has agreed a deal that will run until June 2029. Koga will wear the No.32 shirt for the club.

From Osaka, Japan, the talented centre back began her footballing career with JFA Academy Fukushima before joining Vrouwen Eredivisie side Feyenoord in February 2024. She made her debut in the Dutch top flight at the age of 18, making a total of 35 appreances for Feyenoord in total. She scored on three occasions to help the club secure a fifth-place finish in the table last season, while also helping them reach the semi-final of the KNVB Cup.

Koga has already built an impressive international résumé. After progressing through Japan’s youth teams from Under-17 to Under-23 level, she made her senior debut in April 2024 during the SheBelieves Cup, coming on as a substitute in the 46th minute against the USA.

Following an impressive 2023/24 season, the defender was named in Japan’s 2024 Olympic squad and started in all four games for her nation in the tournament.

Earlier this year, Koga featured in all three SheBelieves Cup fixtures and made headlines by scoring the winning goal against the USWNT — a strike that secured Japan’s first-ever triumph in the competition. She now has 19 senior caps and three international goals to her name.
