Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso boasts full confidence in the talents of a sidelined member of his midfield ranks.
That’s according to The Athletic, who point towards Eduardo Camavinga as the player in question.
Frenchman Camavinga is for his part yet to take to the pitch under the watch of new manager Alonso.
As much comes with the 22-year-old first having been forced to sit out the Club World Cup owing to a muscular injury, before picking up an ankle problem prior to the La Liga campaign being kicked into gear.
Camavinga is now closing on a return to competitive action, having been spotted back playing his part in elements of group training at Valdebebas this week.
And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the former Stade Rennais talent can look forward to a prominent role in Real Madrid’s engine room upon being given the medical green light.
As per a report from The Athletic:
‘Alonso has a lot of confidence in Camavinga, so he could be given plenty of playing time.’
