The visting team executed their game plan with clarity and composure, taking full advantage of a Real Madrid team that appeared disorganised and strangely passive. 

Alonso’s pressing approach, which once promised to bring energy and high-speed recovery actions, broke down in every sector of the pitch.

Amid this backdrop, the report claims that Alonso delivered a firm first message to the squad. “We can lose, but not in any way.”

His second message, far more direct, targeted the mental and emotional state of the players. 

He made clear that the crisis runs deeper than tactics alone. He warned, “You have to change the attitude.”
