In a thrilling match, Mexico earned its first point at the U-20 World Cup in Chile 2025 after drawing 2-2 with Brazil in the Andean capital.
When the match required an offensive boost to reverse Brazil's second goal, national coach Eduardo Arce called on Yael Padilla, who came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute and helped El Tri earn a point in their World Cup debut. Hugo Camberos and Sebastián Liceaga remained on the bench.
The national team will play its second Group Stage match on Wednesday, October 1, against Spain at the same Julio Martínez Prádanos National Stadium in Santiago, Chile.
