Yannick Touré signs in Croatia
Yannick Touré is making a fresh start. The Swiss-Senegalese striker has signed with NK Osijek, a top-flight Croatian club, joining from FC Aarau in Switzerland.
The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but the 24-year-old has penned a three-year deal and will wear the number 9 shirt. Motivated and confident, Touré shared his first impressions:
I am convinced that I will succeed here. I love playing on the front foot, I’m comfortable in duels, and I’m crafty in the box. I’d say I have a bit of everything. Above all, I work hard to keep improving.
Before packing his bags, the striker did his homework on his new destination:
Every time I talked about Osijek or Croatia, people spoke highly of it. It’s my first time in this country, but my first impressions are excellent. I was warmly welcomed, even by the captain. The guys are great.
