Tuesday was a pretty epic day of international tournament football, unless you’re an England fan, anyway.

Here is the best that social media and the fans on the ground had to offer yesterday. Let us know in the comments if we missed anything!

We feel you

If you found yourself dozing off on the sofa during England’s goalless draw with Slovenia, you weren’t alone.

This man spoke for football fans everywhere when he fell asleep inside the actual stadium during the game.

At least these England fans had something to cheer about before the game. Unfortunately it was about as exciting as their day got.

Gareth Southgate under pressure

The England boss had beer cups thrown at him by a handful of his own fans as he applauded them at full-time.

If only Southgate had taken this man’s advice, it might have been a different story.

Southgate can at least comfort himself with the fact he is now a national hero in Slovenia.

Bringing the noise

Few nations bring colour and vibrancy to these international tournaments quite like the Dutch, and Berlin was a sea of orange ahead of their clash with Austria yesterday.

And how about this for an atmosphere at the MetLife Stadium ahead of Argentina’s Copa América victory over Chile.

Own Goalden Boot?

Own Goal continues to lead the way as EURO 2024’s top scorer after Donyell Malen put one in his own net for the Netherlands.

And he would have gotten away with if it weren’t for you meddling kids!

Every cloud

Poland bowed out on EURO 2024 by taking a point from their game with France courtesy of Robert Lewandowski’s penalty.

These Polish fans showed that their country is at least world class at self-deprecation.

The Academy Award goes to…

Belgium’s Amadou Onana is not just a top quality box-to-box midfielder AND a polyglot, but his acting chops are pretty decent too.

Just don’t call him André when presenting him with his Oscar.

The man behind the sax

If, like us, you’ve enjoyed the exploits of Germany’s saxophone-playing fan this summer, you might be interested in this neat summary of his story.

Now THAT’S talent

Never mind any of the players at EURO 2024, this guy is the real star of the show.

If he isn’t a multi-millionaire then something is very, very wrong.

Full marks for creativity

Romania are in action again on Wednesday when they take on Slovakia in Group E. If you need these guys, you know where to find them.

Looks Photoshopped

Tuesday was the 36th anniversary of Marco van Basten’s stunning volley for the Netherlands in the final of EURO 1988.

In case you were wondering what it would look like if that iconic goal had been scored by EURO 2024 mascot Albärt, you need not wonder any longer.

Wholesome content alert

After everything he has been through in his personal life, it was fantastic to see Josip Iličić come on as a late substitute for Slovenia.

And how cute is this reaction from Italy winger Mattia Zaccagni’s young son to his dad’s brilliant goal on Monday?

It’s almost as cute as the mother of Germany’s Benjamin Henrichs being so excited to meet her son’s team-mates.

Chapeau Crepeau

Canada won 1-0 against Peru in the Copa América on Tuesday, with temperatures at Children’s Mercy Park soaring to an astonishing 91 degrees Fahrenheit.

It was so hot that referee’s assistant Humberto Panjoj collapsed on the field during the first half, and it was thanks to the heroics of Canada goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau that the game was stopped and medics were swiftly alerted.
