In yet another crushing injury blow, attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala will be out for Bayern Munich against Inter Milan.

This according to German broadcaster Sky Sport Deutschland, vis FCInterNews. They report that the 22-year-old will be out for around eight weeks and will miss both legs of the Champions League clash.

It would certainly be fair to say that injuries haven’t been kind to Bayern Munich over the last couple weeks.

And this couldn’t have come at a worse time for the Bavarians. They are set to face Inter Milan in the Champions League quarterfinals this month.

The likes of Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano have suffered season-ending injuries.

As if those were not significant enough disruptions in defense, summer signing Hiroki Ito will also be out for a  number of weeks.

That means that the likes of Kim Min-Jae and Raphael Guerereiro will certainly have to play against Inter Milan. Even if they are not at their best physically.

Meanwhile, there are two players who remain major doubts for Bayern. These are goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and winger Kingsley Coman.

On the other hand, Leon Goretzka will be available against Inter Milan in the Champions League.

And things have just gone from bad to worse for Bayern Munich.

Yesterday the German league leaders took on Augsburg in the Bundesliga.

That match ended in a 3-1 win for Bayern – another three points as they inch closer to regaining their Bundesliga crown from Bayer Leverkusen.

However, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany may see it as something of a Pyrrhic victory.

In the second half, Bayern attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala pulled up with pain in his left thigh. This was while he was attempting to close down the Augsburg goalkeeper.

It was immediately clear that the German international had suffered a serious injury.

Therefore, Musiala was immediately ruled out of next week’s first leg against Inter.

But Sky Sport Deutschland has further confirmed that it is worse than that for Musiala.

The 22-year-old has suffered a hamstring tear. This will leave him on the sidelines for around eight weeks, the German broadcaster report.

Therefore, Musiala should be out for the rest of the season. He will play no part in either leg against Inter.
