Yuri Alberto closes on Corinthians’ 21st-century goal involvement record after Remo brace | OneFootball

Yuri Alberto’s first-half brace in Corinthians’ 3-0 win over Remo at Neo Química Arena pushed him towards the top of the club’s 21st-century goal involvement list.

According to Meu Timao, Jadson heads that list on 114 contributions, with Ángel Romero on 103, Gil 98 and Jô 90.

Since arriving from Zenit in July 2022, he has become the first-choice centre-forward. He now has 238 appearances, 84 goals and 25 assists for Corinthians, a total of 109 direct goal involvements.

The performance also ended two barren runs. He scored in the league for the first time since 22 March, against Flamengo, and recorded his first two-goal haul in eight months, last achieved in November in a 3-1 win over São Paulo.

Corinthians visit Bahia on Sunday at 16:00 at Arena Fonte Nova, the opening fixture of the second round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
