Corinthians beat Velo Clube 1-0 at Estádio Benito Agnelo Castellano on Sunday night in the Paulista fifth round, yet fan ratings were largely low as Yuri Alberto was named their standout.

He proved decisive by capitalising on a rebound from goalkeeper Marcelo Carné after Vitinho’s left-side effort. According to Meu Timao, the Notas da Torcida vote returned low averages across the squad and staff.

Yuri Alberto topped the poll with an average 8.5 from 1,008 votes. Midfielders André Luiz and Matheus Pereira followed on 6.6 apiece.

Defensively, starter Hugo Farias was the lowest rated with 2.7 from 1,001 votes. André Ramalho scored 5.5, Gabriel Paulista and debutant Pedro Milans 6.0, and goalkeeper Hugo Souza 6.4.

In midfield and attack, Charles received 4.3, Garro 4.9, Raniele 5.6 and Breno Bidon 6.1. Up front, Gui Negão was worst with 4.1, followed by Pedro Raul on 5.4 and Vitinho on 6.3.

Head coach Dorival Júnior was also marked down, averaging 4.4 from 966 evaluations. Referee Flávio Rodrigues de Souza ended on 2.6.

The result leaves Corinthians fourth after five rounds, inside the quarter-final qualification places, on eight points. They now start the Campeonato Brasileiro on Wednesday at 20:00 against Bahia at Vila Belmiro.
