Mattia Zaccagni showed significant progress in his injury and Lazio hope the captain will be available for the Coppa Italia semi-final against Atalanta.
The 30-year-old contributed four goals and one assist in 25 competitive games so far this season, but picked up a serious thigh strain a couple of weeks ago.
It forced him to withdraw from international duty ahead of the 2026 World Cup play-offs, and he was expected to be out for at least a month.

Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso confirmed that Zaccagni was meant to travel with the group to Bosnia and Herzegovina as moral support, along with fellow injury cases Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Guglielmo Vicario.
However, he had to remain in Rome for a scheduled medical test with Lazio staff, and it provided some positive news.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the tests showed the muscle in the right thigh is healing quicker than expected.
He is now hoping to recover in time to feature in the Coppa Italia semi-final against Atalanta on April 22.
The first leg ended 2-2 at the Stadio Olimpico, so it is all up for grabs.
