Three years have now passed since Roma’s comeback at the Olimpico in the Conference League against Bodø/Glimt.
The Giallorossi team, then coached by José Mourinho, was able to overturn the 2-1 defeat in Norway thanks to a splendid comeback scored by Nicolò Zaniolo.
The match ended 4-0 and the Giallorossi club earned access to the semi-final against Brendan Rogers’ Leicester.
The former number 22 wanted to remember that night on his social media profiles but was filled with insults from his former fans: “You disrespected us,” and “traitor.”
The relationship between Zaniolo and the fans of his former team was definitively strained on the occasion of the match between Roma and Atalanta, won by the Bergamaschi 2-0 and which saw the goal scored by the boy who grew up in the Inter youth team, who did not miss the opportunity to celebrate in a provocative manner.
