This Saturday, Manchester City take on Sunderland in the Premier League. But first, Pep Guardiola was asked at a press conference which nation he would like to see crowned at the 2026 World Cup. The Spanish manager surprised everyone by not naming Spain, but England.
"I’d like England to win. We all know the usual favorites, but I’ve been here for several years, I’m part of this country now, and I really hope Thomas Tuchel and his team can do it," said the Catalan coach in comments made to the media.
After yesterday’s draw, England find themselves in a tough Group L alongside Ghana, Panama, and Croatia.
