The 16 national teams already qualified for the 2026 World Cup

The South American qualifiers have delivered three more teams to the final stage of the 2026 World Cup. The total number of qualified teams now stands at 16.
With their 3-0 victory over Peru, Uruguay has punched its ticket to the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Paraguay also secured its spot by holding Ecuador to a goalless draw (0-0), while Colombia did the job against Bolivia with a convincing 3-0 win.
These three nations join Argentina, Brazil, and Ecuador, who had already booked their places. It's worth noting that CONMEBOL could still send a seventh representative from South America, as the 7th-placed team will compete in an intercontinental playoff.
