25 players to report as Nice resume under Olivier Pantaloni on Wednesday | OneFootball

Jonathan Clauss and 24 team-mates are due back at OGC Nice on Wednesday as training resumes under new head coach Olivier Pantaloni. Nice were in the relegation play-off last season.

Pantaloni arrives with fellow former Lorient midfielder Laurent Abergel, and the first two days are set for physical and medical tests. According to L'Équipe, Terem Moffi will be among the group.

Several World Cup players will return later. Ali Abdi is expected on 18 July, Yéhvann Diouf and Antoine Mendy on 23 July, Hicham Boudaoui on 25 July, Kojo Peprah Oppong and Moïse Bombito on 26 July, while no date is set for Mohamed Abdelmomen after Egypt’s exit on Tuesday.

The club hierarchy are scheduled to outline Nice’s project on Wednesday, with Pantaloni, sporting director Roger Ricort and president Maurice Cohen due to speak.

Les Aiglons open their Ligue 1 campaign on 22 August, when they host Lorient.
