Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad tasked with getting the better of Espanyol this weekend has on Friday been unveiled online.
And, as expected, it features several high-profile absentees.
Real are primed to turn their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front on Saturday night, when they welcome the aforementioned Espanyol to Spain’s capital, for a La Liga clash.
Los Blancos will head into proceedings with spirits high in the camp, fresh off a trio of successive victories across all competitions, the latest of which saw them put Stuttgart to the sword in the club’s Champions League opener in midweek.
Amid ongoing efforts to hunt down arch rivals Barcelona atop the La Liga table, the reigning champions will, in turn, have sights set firmly on another three-point haul this weekend.
And, as alluded to above, this evening, the squad of players set to be tasked with as much has been unveiled.
There are few surprises in Ancelotti’s latest call-up, with the returning Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouaméni included once more, and all of the sidelined David Alaba, Dani Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga and Brahim Díaz missing out:
