Marcus Rashford has finally hit his stride at FC Barcelona. After spending much of the summer searching for his footing, the English forward has truly taken off under Hansi Flick's guidance. In just three matches, he has netted three goals and provided an assist, bringing his tally to 6 goals and 5 assists in 14 appearances across all competitions. Those numbers speak volumes about his growing influence within the Blaugrana system.

A new attacking hierarchy

Deployed on the left flank since Raphinha's injury, Rashford has established himself as a key figure in Barça's attacking setup. His blistering pace, eye for goal, and ability to create space have quickly won over Flick, who now places complete trust in him. This surge in form hasn't gone unnoticed: according to El Nacional, Raphinha is far from pleased with his teammate's success.

The Brazilian winger, who believed his spot was secure after a stellar campaign last season, now fears fierce competition to reclaim his place in the starting eleven. Especially since Rashford offers a tactical alternative, seamlessly linking up with Lewandowski and De Jong.

German coach Flick, however, is in no hurry to make a final decision. For him, internal competition is a source of strength—but it could spark a minor earthquake within the Blaugrana dressing room. In Barcelona, Marcus Rashford is no longer just a gamble: he’s become a genuine asset... and perhaps the new benchmark on the left wing.
