Aaron Ramsey believes that his former club Arsenal will prevail against Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s north London derby at the Emirates Stadium. 

The Gunners are in a brilliant position to finally win the Premier League title this term after finishing second in the last three seasons. 

With eight victories from 11 matches, Arsenal are four points clear at the top of the league table. 

They were held to a 2-2 draw at Sunderland in their last outing before the international break. 

Ramsey is backing his former team to take maximum points against Tottenham this weekend. 

“I can’t see anything other than an Arsenal win at the moment,” he said. “The way they’re playing, I’m really looking forward to it.”

Arsenal suffered a blow ahead of the game, as Gabriel Magalhaes picked up a muscle injury during Brazil’s friendly against Senegal. He will be out for at least four weeks.

Piero Hincapie and Cristian Mosquera are in contention to partner William Saliba in central defence. 

Despite Gabriel’s injury, Arsenal will enter Sunday’s fixture as favourites. Tottenham have not won a league derby against the Gunners since 2022. 

The Lilywhites have also been struggling for form in the English top-flight. Thomas Frank’s men have picked up just four points in their last four league matches. 

They were close to defeating Manchester United after late goals from Mathys Tel and Richarlison, but conceded a stoppage-time equaliser to draw 2-2.
