AC Milan have reignited talks with Bayer Leverkusen as they seek to sign Victor Boniface, according Sacha Tavolieri.

The Nigerian international is now considered a top priority for Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri. After talks with the player’s representatives, the 24-year-old forward has given the green light in order to get the deal done.

Milan have now made contact with B04 in order to reach a financial agreement for Boniface.

The quick developments come exactly one month after an interview Boniface did with SportBild, where he said he is 100% committed to Bayer Leverkusen.

“Absolutely,” Boniface responded when asked if he wished to remain in Leverkusen. “My future is here. From my perspective, it’s 100 percent clear that I’m staying. I still have three years left on my contract, I want to win titles with Bayer and have a great season.”

Regardless of Boniface’s statements, the forward now appears happy to make the move and become a key part of Milan’s plans this season.
