FC Bayern are currently in the planning phase for the new season, and the exact shape of the squad is currently the subject of much debate. Anthony Gordon was considered the player of choice for the attack, but FC Barcelona have now reached an agreement with him and Newcastle
Gordon is therefore out of reach, even though Bayern have tried a lot. However, they have set themselves limits on the transfer fee that they have to meet. And that is precisely why the transfer will not go ahead
The danger already existed beforehand, which is why various media reported that Bayern are looking at alternatives. Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig would be someone who could immediately strengthen the attack, but the Ivorian’s price is likely to be even higher than the 80 million euros for Gordon. After all, RB are demanding at least 100 million euros
But which players, who are cheaper but perhaps still have a step to go in their development, could help FC Bayern in the summer? We do the check!
Alberto Moleiro has been one of the discoveries in Spanish soccer. The attacking player from third-placed FC Villarreal played such a good season under sponsor Marcelino that many consider him a hot contender for the team of the year in Spain. Villarreal paid around €16 million for him in the summer of 2025, bringing him over from Las Palmas
One year later, he has already increased his value considerably. No wonder, with ten goals and six assists to his name. Moleiro plays on the left flank, is technically adept, determined and has an enormous drive on goal. His qualities are extensive and he has improved in all areas over the course of the season

The record champions are looking for a player who is definitely capable of providing Luis Diaz with more relief, and Moleiro is a type of player who can definitely be trusted to do that without having to reach for the very top shelf. Especially with coach Marcelino leaving Villarreal in the summer, the door could open for a move
The second interesting player has also not been playing for his current club for too long. Bazoumana Toure joined TSG Hoffenheim from Hammarby in February 2025. He did not need a long acclimatization phase in the Bundesliga. In the past season, he scored five goals and provided twelve assists in 30 games
Toure is still a little raw in some aspects of his game and needs to become more consistent, but his natural abilities speak for themselves. He is quick, a strong dribbler and has already understood how to play in defence
Although he would cost more than 40 million euros, the player can still be shaped and would not be under any immediate pressure. Clubs from England have long had him on their list and the scouts of these teams are convinced of his qualities
FC Bayern were interested in Malick Fofana once before, in the summer of 2025. The Belgian in the service of Olympique Lyon made an impression on FCB’s observers, but a transfer did not materialize
Could Bayern make another attempt in the summer? Absolutely! And the difficult 2025/26 season for Fofana plays a role in this. The Belgian was injured for a long time and only made 16 appearances in the end. In addition, his contract runs until the summer of 2028. If Lyon want to collect a higher sum again, then this summer is the ideal time to do so
When Fofana was in top form before his injury, he had almost all the relevant criteria to make the leap to a top club. Liverpool also had him on their list for 2025.
