As a guest on Sky Calcio Club, Alessandro Florenzi spoke about Roma and Gasperini’s arrival on the Giallorossi bench.
“When I left Roma, I was sad, because before being a player, I was a Roma fan. But I think everyone has their own path to follow, and I’ve had some wonderful experiences.”
“The goal vs Barcelona? If you watch the replay, I look at the opposing goalkeeper three or four times. I remember it all as if it were today. Edin Dzeko makes a cut towards their centre-backs, and I thought, ‘If I give it to them, it’s lost.’ I saw Ter Stegen out, and I thought, ‘Now I’ll try.’ Ballistically, it’s the best goal of my career, even though I’ve scored other very interesting ones in my opinion.”
“Gasperini? There is a huge margin for this team with him in charge. There are still some things missing, but it’s there anyway.”
