Alexsandro close to resuming training with LOSC next week

Alexsandro is nearing a return to training with LOSC after three months out with a right quadriceps injury.

He has been sidelined since the 2-1 win over Toulouse on 14 September. According to L'Équipe, the 26-year-old, capped three times by Brazil, declined surgery and spent two weeks at the Aspetar clinic in Qatar.

Head coach Bruno Genesio indicated the plan is for him to rejoin the group at Luchin early next week, with his progress assessed once he is back with the squad.

The camp views the development as very positive for the club and the player, and Alexsandro is in good spirits.

The timing would help LOSC, who will be without Aïssa Mandi and Chancel Mbemba during the Africa Cup of Nations.
