Beyond unveiling his squad list for AFCON 2025, Vladimir Petkovic made a point of clarifying some bold choices for this continental showdown. Chief among them, the call-up of Adil Boulbina, former Ligue 1 Mobilis top scorer now at Al Duhail, reflects the coach's intent to broaden his attacking options.

The Swiss-Bosnian tactician praised the unique profile of the former Paradou AC player.

"Boulbina has slightly different characteristics from the players we have. He likes to get in behind and is clinical in front of goal. Berkane as well, but he also plays well with his back to goal. We need to see how that translates to the senior team," he explained.

Petkovic is also open about his willingness to give opportunities to young talents coming from the A' team.

"I've always thought that players who perform well with the A', like Boulbina and Berkane, who are young (born in 2003) and stand out, should be able to join us, especially since we can have 28 players," he concluded.
