Oliver Antman is close to joining RSC Anderlecht from Rangers, as manager Derek McInnes confirmed on Wednesday that the Finnish winger has travelled to Belgium to finalise his move.
McInnes told the Scottish media, “An agreement has been reached, and Oliver has travelled to finalise everything. I am quite sure that everything will go well for him.”
Antman joined Rangers after an inspiring 2024–25 campaign with Go Ahead Eagles. He scored six goals and registered a league-high 16 assists for the Deventer club, while also featuring four times as the team won the KNVB Cup. With his £3.5 million transfer to Rangers, it was expected that he’d kick on and continue impressing crowds far and wide.
However, the Finnish international ultimately struggled to get settled in Glasgow, scoring just once and notching five assists in 28 all-competition games. Now, a move to Belgium looks like a fine escape from Ibrox. Anderlecht are reportedly paying just over five million euros for the 24-year-old creative player.
