Manchester United have verbally agreed to send Andre Onana out on loan to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
The move isn’t over the line just yet, with reports from Fabrizio Romano suggesting it’s now down to the goalkeeper himself to decide whether he wants the switch.
Trabzonspor, currently chasing Galatasaray at the top of the Super Lig, are desperate for a new number one after selling long-serving captain Ugurcan Cakir last week.
Onana has slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford, with boss Ruben Amorim favouring Altay Bayindir, following Onana’s injury in pre-season.
The arrival of Belgian keeper Senne Lammens on deadline day has pushed him further out of contention, and his shaky showing in the League Cup defeat to Grimsby hasn’t helped his case either.
With the Turkish transfer window shutting on Friday, 12 September, the 28-year-old has only a few days left to decide where he’ll be playing for the remainder of the season.
