Sevilla’s recruitment plans are gathering pace, with reports suggesting Antonio Cordón is tracking Ozziel Herrera. The club are also said to be monitoring Maximiliano Araújo and Mandela Keita.

Araújo, the Uruguayan wing-back at Sporting de Portugal, offers versatility down the left and has impressed with Uruguay. Keita has cemented himself at Parma as a defensive midfielder with significant physical range and precise distribution.

These targets align with an ambition to add young talent already tested in top European leagues, and both would lift the team immediately. Competition is fierce, with Juventus, Napoli and Inter Milan also watching the pair.

Herrera, the Tigres UANL winger born in 2001, came through at Atlas, helping their historic back-to-back Liga MX titles before moving in 2023. He is a Mexico international and a Gold Cup winner, with 12 goal involvements this season, eight goals and four assists.

Herrera is a dynamic, direct wide player who can operate on either flank, combining pace on the ball with sharp dribbling in tight spaces. He times runs in behind and strikes cleanly with his right foot, thriving in transition.

Finances remain the stumbling block. Araújo is priced at 25 million euros and Keita at 18 million, figures that appear unreachable without a major sale, while Herrera is valued at six million by Transfermarkt and would still demand careful wage and budget management.
