Arda Guler’s 100th Real Madrid game earns Fenerbahçe €2m, €30m deal nears | OneFootball

Arda Guler’s 100th appearance for Real Madrid has triggered a €2m payment to Fenerbahçe, taking the club’s intake to €28m. According to Turkish-Football.com, the clause was activated as the midfielder hit his century.

The landmark came in a 2-1 win over Benfica in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 playoffs. Guler played 84 minutes and helped ensure Madrid’s progress to the final 16.

His 2023 move carried a €20m base fee plus up to €10m in add-ons. This instalment relates to the appearance threshold he has now met.

Only the final tranche from the add-on pool remains, which will be paid once he completes another 25 appearances, taking the deal to €30m. Fenerbahçe also hold a 20% sell-on clause for any future transfer.

Since arriving, the Turkish international has become a regular option in Carlo Ancelotti’s rotation. Reaching 100 games before turning 21 underlines his rapid rise. With Madrid pushing on in Europe, both supporters and Fenerbahçe’s board will follow his progress closely.
