Argentina confirm squad numbers for 2026 World Cup

Argentina have confirmed the squad numbers for Lionel Scaloni’s 26 players at the 2026 World Cup, which starts for them on 16 June against Algeria in Kansas City.
According to SuperDepor.com, the Qatar 2022 core remains, with eight first-time call-ups for a World Cup: Juan Musso, Leonardo Balerdi, Facundo Medina, Valentín Barco, Nicolás González, Giuliano Simeone, Nicolás Paz and José Manuel López.
Musso will wear one, Balerdi two and Barco eight. González takes 15, Simeone 17, Paz 18, López 21 and Medina 25. Giovani Lo Celso inherits the number 11 vacated by Ángel Di María, while Lisandro Martínez switches to six, previously worn by Germán Pezzella.
Most champions keep their usual shirts. Emiliano Martínez stays on 23, Cristian Romero 13, Rodrigo De Paul seven, Alexis Mac Allister 20, Enzo Fernández 24, Julián Álvarez nine, Lautaro Martínez 22 and Lionel Messi 10.
Before the tournament, Argentina face Honduras on six June in Texas and Iceland on nine June in Alabama. After the opener, they meet Austria on 22 June in Dallas, then conclude Group J against Jordan on 27 June.
