Arkadiusz Milik makes Juventus return 665 days after last club game

Arkadiusz Milik made his Juventus comeback on Saturday, stepping off the bench against Sassuolo in Serie A, 665 days after his previous club appearance.

As reported by L'Équipe, the Poland international had been sidelined by a knee problem since the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

He entered in the 79th minute and registered eight touches, fashioning a headed chance that failed to find the net. The match finished 1-1, part of matchday 30.

His return had looked uncertain given the length of his lay-off and doubts over full fitness. The 32-year-old had not played for Juventus since 25 May 2024, the final day of 2023-24, against Monza.

Milik has 73 caps and 17 goals for Poland. He was called up three times this season by Luciano Spalletti, yet did not feature.
